Where is Science Alive! held?

Science Alive! is held at the Adelaide Showground, a five-minute drive out of Adelaide’s CBD, and easily accessible via public transport.

Can I get tickets at the gate?

Science Alive! tickets must be pre-booked online. 2024 tickets available from March 2024. Don't leave it too late; our 2022 and 2023 events were both sell outs!

Are kids free?

Yes, kids under 3 years old are free. All children do require a ticket regardless of age. You can order your under 3 a free ticket here.

I can't find my tickets, what should I do?

Please contact us as soon as possible. Make sure you have the correct email and mobile combination.

If you don't receive your tickets within 2 hours and you've checked your junk, just contact us and one of our team will assist you.

I've bought tickets and now cannot attend, what can I do?

You can transfer your tickets into a friend or family members name. We do not offer a refund for change of mind and/or circumstance.

Please contact us to enquire about change of names and/or times.

Refunds can be requested here. Make sure to select an enquiry type of "refund request" and be aware of our refund policy.

Do people with companion cards receive discounted entry?

When a cardholder buys a ticket their companion or carer will be given free entry. This year we request that you stop at the ticket booth prior to entry to register your details and show your valid card.

Where should I park?

There are multiple carparking spaces available at the Showground. Further information can be be found via the Adelaide Showground website.

Do I need to buy tickets for the stage shows?

No, all stage performances within Science Alive! are included in the price of your entry ticket. However, depending on the prevailing COVID requirements, we may have to limit attendance at the most popular shows so best to ensure you arrive at the main stage at least five minutes before the start of your chosen show/s.

Can I leave and come back in?

Pass Outs will be available at the Exit. You can leave the pavilions to access food, drinks and rest areas and return as long as it is on the same day, between 9am and 5pm.

Can I purchase food and drinks at the event?

There will be a wide variety of food and drinks available at the Showground for purchase, from Showground outlets.

Are gluten free, diary free, vegetarian, vegan food options available?

Yes, there will be plenty of options to suit all dietary requirements and restrictions.

If you have any special dietary preferences, please ask one of the friendly Showground outlet staff before purchasing your food.

Is a parents' room available?

There is a parenting room in the Atrium Plaza, which includes microwave, a breastfeeding area with privacy screen, and a change table.

The northern Jubilee Pavilion toilets also have baby change facilities, and all disabled and special needs toilets include a fold down nappy change table.

Will you have any quiet areas for visitors to retreat to?

The Science Alive! team appreciates that crowd related events can be overwhelming. On arrival, please ask our ticket staff for the location of our dedicated quiet room, or head to the information desk, inside the Jubilee Pavilion.

Is there a prayer room for visitors?

Please visit our information desk, inside the Jubilee Pavilion, upon arrival. Our friendly team will assist you with directions to the prayer room.

Why can't I see a seniors discounted ticket?

We continue to keep prices well below cost which is only possible due to the generous support of the State Government Agencies and corporate sponsors who generously offer support for the event.

This allows us to keep entry fees at concession prices for all attendees.
